In this book, Papa Smurf has to leave the village to get some euphorbium. The other smurfs need someone to look after them, so they hold an election. Smurf really wants to be king, so he found out a way to get everyone to vote for him. Surprisingly, he gets the most votes, but he ended up not doing what he said he would. During the election, he was nice and confident, now he's bossy and powerful, and makes very silly laws. All the other smurfs are upset and angry, and want to get rid of their king. Will they have to go to battle?Over the past few months, our country has been holding an election, much like the one in this book. Parts it reminded me of all the political ads on TV.I would recommend this book to anyone who likes elections, kings and of course, the color blue. I give this book 3 paws.
